The house in the alley combines 3 lighting solutions

The indoor space is always filled with light thanks to a combination of skylights, the perforated sunshade system and front glass doors.

The house consists of 4 floors, area 4.6x10.5 m located in an alley in Tan Phu district (HCMC), is the residence of 3 brothers and sisters. The owner's desire is to have an open living space, lots of trees, and at the same time to meet the living and working functions for the members.

After the survey, the architect found that the house has an East-facing facade that receives good sunlight, but the disadvantage is that the length is limited. The design unit has arranged a system of louvers to cover the facade to prevent direct sunlight, and at the same time open skylights, large windows for ventilation and light for all function rooms.

In front of the house is a small yard, always full of sunlight thanks to the perforated sunshade system, roofed with glass.

Taking advantage of the perforated laminar system to get sunlight, the architect planted more trees to create the landscape, while helping to filter dust and regulate the temperature, reducing heat absorption from the outside into the house.

The house is designed in a minimalist style with the main white color to create a spacious feeling. The first floor has a common living space, including a living room, kitchen, dining table and bathroom.

Built-in i-shaped cabinet system, with spacious drawers to store kitchen equipment. Most of the furniture in the house is made from industrial wood to save costs.

To fit the small house area, the stairs are designed at the end of the house. Perforated iron steps help bring natural light into the skylight area. The landing area on each floor has a small garden planted with trees.

Thanks to the green vegetation that shields and prevents the absorption of heat from the glass roof system of the skylight, the space below is always cool.

The 2nd floor is divided into 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The space is always filled with natural light and wind thanks to the large windows.

The bathroom gets light mainly from the glass wall on the side of the house, creating a contrast with the dark floor tiles.

The working room and the master bedroom are located on the 3rd floor. The windows and balcony system create a cool feeling. The laundry area is located on the 4th floor.

The perforated sunshade system combined with glass is a great solution to get light for the houses in the alley. In addition to lightening the perforated laminar system, it also increases the aesthetics of the project.
